It was in 1988 when the British post punk group Joy of Life released their song "Warrior Creed". Apoptose would never forget this track: the impressive vocals, the stoic drums, the minimalistic keyboards. 20 years later »Warrior Creed« is back – seen though Apoptose’s eyes. The voice of Joy of Life leadsinger Gary Carey has matured and the rhythm section is reinforced by an entire band of drummers, the Fanfarenzug Leipzig. Now the music sounds even darker.

This Joy of Life/Apoptose-LP celebrates the return of that classic song. It features two new interpretations by Apoptose, both sung by Gary Carey, alongside the original Joy of Life version which was unavailable for more than a decade. Live-in-studio recordings of the onstage trance drumming rituals by Apoptose and the Fanfarenzug Leipzig amplify the intoxicating effect of this vinyl-only release.
